Clinicial Psychologist (Online Only)

Justin Doran is a clinical psychologist who brings a warm, respectful and collaborative approach to helping people explore difficulties and new ways of being in the world. He adds a generalist

psychological approach to the My Appletree team, seeing clients experiencing depression, anxiety, significant stress, grief and loss, life transition and other challenges.

Justin works with adolescents and adults either via telehealth or in person (based in Ballina, NSW).

He has been working within the My Apple Tree team since 2015. Justin assesses the individual

needs of each client and then utilises evidence-based treatments to reach client goals. He is trained in cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and/or attachment-based family therapies.

Justin worked in child and adolescent mental health teams within the Northern Sydney Local HealthDistrict for 10 years. He currently holds a position at an adolescent inpatient unit at Lismore BaseHospital. From 2021 to 2024 he also worked in a teaching role on the Macquarie University Clinical

Psychology training program. He has delivered workshops to other health professionals and public and private organisations on suicide risk management, acceptance and commitment therapy and work-life balance within Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Outside of the office, Justin tries to live a full life with his young family, surfing, golfing, taking photos and sipping coffee…
