
Adrian Cuerva
Clinical Psychologist, St Leonards
Adrian is a registered clinical psychologist with a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Macquarie University and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. He is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and has worked across public, private, and research settings, gaining broad experience in the field.
At the heart of Adrian’s work is a simple philosophy: human first, psychologist second. He deeply respects the courage it takes to step into therapy and is committed to creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and valued. With warmth and authenticity, he approaches each person with unwavering compassion and genuine curiosity about their unique experiences.

Adrian works with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. His therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. He also has a strong interest in helping people develop effective interpersonal and communication skills, believing that healthy relationships are at the core of emotional well-being.

He believes therapy is not just about symptom relief but about empowering individuals to understand themselves more deeply, navigate life’s complexities with confidence, and ultimately become their own best source of support.
